Beta Version of Uyghur Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech Tools released

The UKIJ has released a beta version of its Uyghur ASR/TTS platform, allowing users to convert Uyghur speech into text and written text into spoken audio.

The speech recognition tool transcribes recordings made directly through a microphone or uploaded as audio files. Users can download the resulting text for further use.

The text-to-speech tool offers four voices, adjustable playback speed up to twice the normal rate, and downloadable audio in MP3 or WAV format.

This release supports UKIJ’s ongoing work to make the Uyghur language more accessible through technology. As the platform is still in testing, users are encouraged to try its features, report errors, and share suggestions for improvement.
